Alma Nueva Solutions was born from a promise made by Luis Velasco to his beloved abuela, Alma Delia Guardado, who passed away from breast cancer in 2018—to carry forward her values of compassion, justice, and community. The firm’s name, Alma Nueva—New Soul in English—was chosen with intention, not just as tribute but as a reminder: of the values she instilled in all who knew her—values of compassion, justice, and the transformative power of community—values that continue to guide us today.

Founded in 2021, Alma Nueva Solutions provides strategic support to individuals and nonprofit organizations, specializing in fundraising, field and campaign strategy, and community engagement. In 2023, we expanded our services to include Board Solutions, as well as Translation and Interpretation, ensuring that organizations have the tools they need to build power and create change. From the Portland Metro Area to communities across Oregon and King County, Washington, we are committed to delivering solutions that are both effective and deeply rooted in equity.
